Eye Pain Is Contagious Through View, Can It?

Has anyone ever avoided the sight of a friend who has an eye problem? The problem is that many also believe that eye pain can be transmitted through exchanging views. But is it really like that?

"There is a very contagious eye disease called conjunctivitis or pink eye English, so the complaints continue to stick a lot in the morning sticky and it can be very contagious. But the cause is not through sighting," said Dr. Rina La Distia Nora, SpM (K), PhD, from the Indonesian Ophthalmologist Association (PERDAMI), Tuesday (10/30/2018).

Conjunctivitis is caused by a virus, but the virus cannot just jump from eye to eye. The one who triggers the spread is usually through the hands that are not kept clean.

"The important thing is hand hygiene, because if we are sick, not a child usually takes a long time to get into the hands, now the virus in hand, if we have a job or chips, there is still a little virus," said Dr. Rina.

In fact, viruses can also stick to other objects that are touched by contaminated hands. If, say, the table wasn't cleaned, the virus could last for five months, you know, forever!

So, it is very important to maintain the health of our eyes by helping to maintain the cleanliness of our bodies, especially the hands. Don't you want to wake up with a squint?
